Gold Canyon Public Radio, Inc. (a non-profit organization 501c3) operates using the US Federal Government assigned call letters KRWV-LP and is licensed to Gold Canyon, Arizona.
KRWV is Gold Canyon's only local Emergency Activation System (EAS) station. KRWV's programming is superseded by any and all Federal, State, County emergency situations including severe weather, amber alerts, silver alerts and disaster alerts that impact our community and listening area which is a 20 mile radius.
Gold Canyon Public Radio, Inc. is owned and operated by Gold Canyon Public Radio, Inc. and operates on the assigned frequency of 99.3 MhZ with a power of 100 Watts as authorized by the federal government of the United States of America. KRWV-FM operates under strict rules as governed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
Gold Canyon Public Radio's programming includes Smooth Jazz, Straight-Ahead Jazz, Eclectic Rhythms and selections from established artists and musicians. Additional programming includes: health and wellness educational programming, new age music, and local Pinal County Government information.
Established on August 7, 2014 as a local community radio station, KRWV-FM serves the communities of Gold Canyon, Apache Junction, San Tan Valley, Queen Creek and Queen Valley.
KRWV-FM is supported by local businesses and listeners. On June 1, 2015, KRWV-FM began streaming on tunein.com and can be heard worldwide on laptops, tablets, mobile devices and personal computers.
